Q: Does my child need to be interested in tennis to attend GRSC Day Camp?
A: Absolutely not! While the campers do play some fun racquets games during their time at GRSC, they will have the opportunity to choose some of the sports/activities that they take part in.

Q: How do I register my child for camp?
A: Register online at at with the login button in the upper right hand corner of the window. Please email the Camp Director, if you have any questions or problems with the process. 

Q: What does my child bring to camp?
A: Please send your child DAILY to camp with the following: sunscreen, towel, bathing suit (they may wear it under their clothes if they would like), NON-GLASS refillable water bottle, snacks (2 if they are all day kids and 1 if they are morning only), and sneakers. Other items you can send along if you like are tennis racquet, swim goggles, extra change of clothes. Please remember to LABEL EVERYHING you are sending to camp! Your child will be in charge of carrying their own bag at camp, so please make sure it is a size that is manageable for them.

Q: What does a typical day look like at GRSC Day Camp?
A: Activity schedules are rotating during the week. Therefore, your child may not have every activity every day, and most likely the same activity at the same time each day. The following activities will be part of their session at camp: group organized games/activities, sports (soccer, four square, basketball, kickball, etc.), racquets fun (games using the equipment and courts for tennis, pickle ball and paddle), water play, lunch/playground time, supervised free swim, and arts and crafts.

Q: How are the camp groups separated?
A: When weeks allow for it we separate our kids into several age groups. The youngest 4-5 or 4-6 year-old, the middle 6-8 or 7-8 year olds, the older 9-10 year olds and the oldest 10-12 or 11-12 year olds. There will be some weeks where we will have just two or three smaller age groups.

Q: What if I need to pick my child up early or drop off late?
A: If you know ahead of time you can let your child’s counselor know about the change in schedule. If the change is last minute you can contact the Camp Director (information below).

Q: If I add lunch for $30 a week, what will my choices be and how will I choose?
A: Here is the  Weekly Lunch Option Form. Please print or fill out and send to the Camp Director by the Friday before each camp week for which you are registered. 

Q: Is my child allowed to go to the snack bar during the day with money to purchase snacks.
A: No. Beyond lunch we ask that any snacks they will have are provided from home.

Q: What if I have questions beyond the information on the website?
A: The camp director can be contacted for any questions or concerns.

Q: Where is GRSC Day Camp and where do its activities take place?
A: We are located and all camp activities take place at 420 Church Street in Guilford, on the Guilford Racquet & Swim Club grounds, across the street from the Arts Center and next to the Police station.
